The aim of the project is to study the biomechanics of movement of dart players, their postural stability and proprioception, as well as their movement strategies. All of the aforementioned elements, according to our assumptions, have an impact on the accuracy of the throws they make, which is one of the key elements crucial to sporting success.
In the first stages of the project, tests are conducted by Romberg, Unterberger and Mann to determine the condition of the players' musculoskeletal apparatus and stability. Then the darters will cast a series of throws, which are monitored by a motion capture system. The strategy of the cast movements will be analyzed. The project's idea is to check the relationship between the movements made using artificial intelligence.
The project is being developed in cooperation with leading dart players in Poznan. Also involved in the work on the results are students from the Scientific Circle of BTS "Da Vinci"
