The aim of the project is to study the biomechanics of dart players’ movement, their postural stability and proprioception, as well as movement strategies. According to our assumptions, all these elements affect the accuracy of the throws, which is one of the key elements for achieving sports success.
In the first stages of the project, Romberg, Unterberger and Mann tests are carried out, thanks to which the condition of the locomotor apparatus and stability of the players is determined. Then darters make a series of throws that are monitored by the motion capture system. The strategy of the given moves will be analyzed. The project’s assumptions are to check the relationship between the performed movements using artificial intelligence.
The project is being developed in cooperation with the leading darts players in Poznań. Students from the BTS “Da Vinci” Scientific Circle are also involved in the work on the results
