The 28th edition of the Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics was held in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from July 9-12, 2023. The event is addressed to scientists representing numerous fields of biomechanics and provides an opportunity for dialogue between specialists from different countries, to exchange experiences and present the results of their work.
There were representatives of the Biomechanics Laboratory there, represented by Martyna Sopa, M.Sc., with a poster on part of her work, carried out as part of her doctorate at the Doctoral School of Poznan University of Technology. The poster concerned the created two-dimensional model of human stability in the issue of loss of equilibrium, due to an external force.
During the Conference we listened to many inspiring lectures and presentations, including on the use of markerless motion capture systems. We used the acquired knowledge in our next project, implemented in cooperation with the Polish Sailing Association.
